I also frequently use the "night landscape" mode for taking pictures after sunset. I have a 1 GB memory card that can hold 899 pictures at 7 megapixels. The focusing is fair, although it doesn't focus in low light. I have made a few 8x10's with it, and am pleased with the quality.
The Kodak cmaera is a good camera, and I have been pleased with it for the most part. Overall, I have been pleased, but there are better cameras out there. You can only change the ISO settings in "auto" and "macro" mode. The high ISO setting worked well for pictures in low light, but the quality of the pictures was sadly poor.
I take pictures in demanding settings, but I don't like to use an ISO higher than 100 because of poor quality. Try the Olympus FE-330 first. The HD picture quality was stunning, although the files are larger than I like (1 mb or so at 7 megapixels on JPEG). Overall, I have been pleased.
I bought this for my mother as a Christmas gift; it takes really good pictures, very easy to operate; my mom is 67 years old and doesn't own much up to date electronics because of complexity issues; she loves this camera because of it's simplicity and has opened up to trying more new gadgets now (an ipod touch has her eye now).Again; Amazon Prime was a great value for me; shipment arrived x-mas eve right on target.
this is the best camera EVAH it has alot of features and works on my mac LUVS IT SO MUCHpro'sway to many to nameconsthere is no speaker on the camera but it works amazingly on the computer and on my nintendo revolution (wii) over allthe best camera ever GET IT and you will be amazed
IG; storage, transfer and tweak so as to maximize the photo shop features--alias the camera is only as good as the user so learn well. Cropping the photo to suit your special needs would take some fiddling with Adobe and that now has been the crux of expertise in software usage. Wow, comparative to the old wet chemistry of dark room dexterity the digital photo now is oh so remarkable. printing the content of storage is nice and easy.
Very pleased with the purchase. This fills the bill. This camera and software are good for novice digital photographers. Purchased for my wife who wants point and shoot capability with little fuss.
